Cadet Program Information

The Holley-Navarre Fire District offers two cadet program opportunities: the Summer Cadet Program and the Monthly Cadet Program.

Purpose:
To educate and inspire young individuals interested in the fire service by fostering skills, values, and a strong commitment to community service.

Both the Summer and Monthly programs provide a unique opportunity for young adults ages 15–18 to gain hands-on exposure to various aspects of the fire service. Participants will develop character, integrity, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility while learning about the firefighting profession.

The Summer Cadet Program is offered at no cost and is held on the second Saturday of each month during the summer. 

The Monthly Cadet Program continues throughout the year, meeting one day each month. All sessions are designed to be engaging, informative, and a fun introduction to a career in the fire service.

Application information is listed below. Space is limited. Once available positions are filled, additional applicants will be placed on a waitlist in the order applications are received.

Applicants should be motivated, physically capable, and demonstrate a positive attitude.

The Cadet Program is proudly sponsored by the Holley-Navarre Fire District and supported by dedicated HNFD firefighters who serve as program advisors.
