Annual Fire Assessment

Property owners in the Holley-Navarre Fire District receive a notice in the mail advising them of their assessment amount each year. 

The fire district assessment for residential structures is based on the TOTAL GROSS SQUARE FOOTAGE. The total square footage for each home can be found on the Santa Rosa County 

Property Appraiser's website: https://new.srcpa.gov

*NOTE: The TOTAL GROSS SQUARE FOOTAGE includes the living space, patios, garages, entryways, sun rooms, etc. 

Holley-Navarre Fire District Non-Ad Valorem Rate Structure (as approved by HNFD Board of Fire Commissioners on 25 AUG 2025 and signed as Resolution 25-02):

• Residential - $0.0705 per sq. ft.   Minimum $162.23 (min. 2,300 sq. ft.)
• Commercial - $0.2345 per sq. ft.   Minimum $539.35 (min. 2,300 sq. ft.)
• Vacant Lot - $38.0317   Minimum $38.03
• Unimproved Acreage - $12.6773 per acre   Minimum $38.03 (3 acres)

All fire assessments are collected by the Santa Rosa County Tax Collector and distributed directly to the HNFD.
